”A Little Sonic Goes a Long Way” - Sonic the Hedgehog #8
So not too much to talk about here. I just wanted to point out that this is the first instance where we see Antoine and Bunnie work together. In fact, barring Nicole who hasn’t been introduced yet, this the first time we’ve seen the entire core FF work together on a mission.
We start off with the gang just hanging out and being bros.
You’re just teasing him because you like him, Bunnie. In fact, I bet he has a beautiful singing voice! After all he is voiced by Rob Paulsen.
It’s now my personal head-cannon that Antoine serenades Bunnie with old corny french love songs.

Anyways since Robotnik has “outlawed” music the gang decide to go to abandon music hall to get instruments to play and we get this little gem of a gag
She’s using good nature humor and positivity to combat her insecurities. Good for her. It’s far better than what Antoine does to combat his low self esteem.
Anyways, Robotink tracks them there and uses a shrink ray to try and capture them.
However the shrinking effects are only temporary and once enlarged they all work together to defeat Robonik with the power of Rock n’ Roll!
There’s surprisingly few gag panels in this issue. However it does have “’Bots All Folks”. One of my favorite stories. It doesn’t feature Antoine or Bunnie so I won’t talk much about it here. But it is balls to the walls insane and never fails to put a smile on my face. Easily the best out of the early years of the comic’s run.
