“The Good, the Bad, and the Hedgehog” & “Food for Thought” - Sonic the Hedgehog # 11
So I thought I’d do two of these today. Because even though neither Bunnie nor Antoine feature in them. Both stories are important to point out for later.
The first one has Sonic travel to the alternate universe called Anti-Mobius (a.k.a Moebius). A world where everything is the opposite of the normal verse.
He also meets the anti-Sonic, Scourge the Hedgehog.
Both Scourge and the Anti-Freedom Fighters will become very important to Antoine’s over all character growth later in the comics run.
In the second story Sonic eats too much and has a nightmare. The story itself is inconsequential save for one thing. It takes place on Sonic’s birthday.
Sonic’s birthday is the only real marking of the passage of time in the comic. When mentioned it tells me, the reader, that one year has passed. With out them we’d have no way of knowing how much time there are between stories. But by placing a story between Sonic’s birthday, I can at lease assume that those events happened in one years time and the approximate age of the characters when those events happened.
I also personally assume Sonic’s birthday is later in the year than the rest of his friends. It just makes things easier and in the case of Sally we know it to be true.
So in one year
- Kruduz was invented and scarred Antoine for life
- Bunnie was robotized and joined the FFs
- Bunnie and Antoine met and became friends
- Antoine established himself as the group’s pilot
- Anti-Mobius was discovered
Still no gag pages, but we do get a third story featuring Coconuts from AoStH.
