“A Scrambled Hedgehog” Sonic the Hedgehog Goes Hog Wild - Sonic the Hedgehog #27
So we have the old cliched story where the hero bumps his head and temporarily has amnesia. Robotnik takes this as an opportunity to turn Sonic against his friends.
Now you would think with a premise that hockey we’d also get all the usual cliches that go with it; miscommunication, everyone being fooled into thinking Sonic’s still on their side, Sonic missing the obvious, ect. ect. But no, in all reality everyone is presented in an intelligent manner through out the entire story.
Snively, rightfully questions Sonic’s sincerity at being unable to remember anything.
Robotnik take precautions and has back up plans for his back up plans. More importantly he never blows his persona as a good guy in front of Sonic. Like losing his temper or outright ordering the murder of innocences. In fact his real downfall is shitty transmission signals.
As for Sonic himself. He’s lost his memory but not his wits. Through out the story he is constantly problem solving and not simply following orders.
But best of all, none of the Freedom Fighters fall for it for a second. Everyone picks up on the fact that Sonic’s gone rogue immediately and they all take the necessary precautions to stop him.
Antoine specifically is in charge of getting the citizens of Knothole to safety and defending the town itself.
Poor Twan. But don’t worry folks. He’ll get his chance to shine in a big way in part 2 of the story arc.
The rest of the comic just a long advert for the special “Sonic Triple Trouble” , which won’t be covered in this marathon.
