“Who Keeps Stealing My Chaos Emeralds” - Sonic the Hedgehog #30
So this story spotlights Coconuts of all people and features a homage to classic cartoons like Roadrunner & Coyote and Tom & Jerry.
Our hapless henchman tries to prevent someone from stealing Robotnik’s stash of chaos emeralds by using ever increasingly ridiculous traps that only wind up backfiring on him.
They try to keep the identity of who keeps messing up his plans hidden, but it’s pretty obviously Bunnie.

Coconuts is the most recurring character from AoStH. And seeing as he’s interacted already with the other FFs back in issue 11, this story just reaffirms that the Archie book is a crossover of all sonic media at the time.
Now it’s never confirmed, however, if Bunnie is using her abilities to trip the traps, if she’s just lucky, or if Coconuts is really, really incompetent.
It might be a little of all three, but personally I prefer to think Bunnie knows what she is doing and has some agency in the story.
(Careful Bunnie, I don’t think wearing jewelry made from reality altering gems of unfathomable power is such a hot idea. But then again Sally has a crown made of them so….)
Anyways, this story is really important because it establishes once and for all that Bunnie goes on solo missions. It not only makes sense because of her super powers, but it also helps to explain her absence from certain stories.
P.S. I wonder who she’s going to the dance with. I hope it’s Ant, but given the time placement, probably not. Maybe she’s going stag in the hopes of catching his eye and snagging a dance with him. ;)
The comic also includes a story that reintroduces Uncle Chuck and gives him back his free will.
