“Pseudo-Sonic” - Sonic the Hedgehog # 9
Robotnik creates a robot duplicate of Sonic to infiltrate Knothole. So it’s really a pseudo-Metal-Sonic. This is the second time he’s made such a duplicate and it won’t be the last.
So Antoine accidentally lets the robot Sonic into headquarters. But the other’s aren’t so easily fooled.
This might be his first major fuck-up and he’s backpedaling and making excuses for it. Which is understandable, no one likes to own up to mistakes, especially in the heat of the moment. But he’ll keep making mistakes and repeating excuses for quite a few issues to come.
Fortunately the day is saved, by Tails of all people. He does his own version of a Sonic-spin to destroy the robot. Meanwhile, the real Sonic is sick from a “poison sumac” rash. Which means it’s finally time for Bunnie to shine!
While it’s great and all to finally see someone other than Sonic save the day. How is Robotnik even still a threat after that?! She whooped his ass good!
Anyways, Bunnie fortunately knows of a cure for Sonic. One past down from her Aunt Lulumae. Which is the first mention we get of her family.
Also side note: Bunnie’s still operating her salon. One can only assume that’s the reason why she’s been absent in past stories.
The rest of the comic is once again a few gag panels and a story about Sally’s birthday and the dumb present Sonic gives her.
